do you mean you have an excel workbook and a code that closes it and then opens another one??

then why dont you just open the other workbook an after that you close savechanges:=false the first one??

Now, if you have the code in one workbook and you close another one you put into an object... then i don't know why this is happening.

No this is in one workbook that closes excel all together and that is what i'm looking for. Here is what i have so far.

Private Sub CommandButton3_Click()
ans = MsgBox("This will close XL, Are you sure?", vbYesNo)

If ans = vbYes Then 'save book and quit XL
Run "HideAll"
Application.Quit

ElseIf ans = vbNo Then ' no save and quit XL
Cancel = True
End If

End Sub

and hidall is

Application.ScreenUpdating = False
For Each wsSheet In ThisWorkbook.Worksheets
If wsSheet.CodeName = "Sheet24" Then
wsSheet.Visible = xlSheetVisible
Else
wsSheet.Visible = xlSheetVeryHidden
End If
Next wsSheet
Application.ScreenUpdating = True

End Sub
