Data Comparison

1 New Member
I have a field in a table containing data in this format; >=16, <=9,<4 and so forth. I need to compare the sum of a certain field to the above field.

Any ideas?

there may be ways to have an expression like this calculated dynamically, but failing that you might just have to bite the bullet and do it yourself.

If you think about it, it shouldn't be difficult to split up the comparison characters and the number, and then perform different checks based on the characters. For example
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Select Case sComparisonType
  2.   Case ">="
  3.     Result = ( DataValue >= ReferenceValue )
  4.   Case ">"
  5.     Result = ( DataValue > ReferenceValue )
  6.   ...
