vb6 on xp trubles

Hi all
I have troubles with visual basic6sp5 on winxp sp1

the error messages i get when i try to do somting eg. alter a menu itens
name or add a reference,
or try to compile looks like this

AppName: vb6.exe AppVer: 6.0.89.88 ModName: vba6.dll ModVer: 6.0.0.8964
Offset: 0001fc35
and i the eventlog i get the following

Fejlagtigt program vb6.exe, version 6.0.89.88, fejlagtigt modul vba6.dll,
version 6.0.0.8964, fejlagtig adresse 0x0001fc35.

i hope som one have a solution for this, i have tryed this on severel
computers whit the same result

I run VB6sp5 on my XP computer with no trouble at all. Could it be
something wrong with your installation disc?

You could also try to run as Power User or Administrator.
