How to make first column of a datagrid Read Only

I am using Vb.net 2003. I am trying to make the first column of a four
column datagrid to be "read only".

I have been trying to use the information from the following link to try to
make the column read only:

http://www.codeproject.com/KB/grid/p...atagrids4.aspx

However, I am so new to Vb.net that I am having a tough time getting it to
work.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Mr. B.

Did you know that Ken and I had too a website which started as a datagrid
site.

http://www.vb-tips.com/ConditionalEditColumn.aspx

If this is not what you want, then there is probably something else to use,
maybe this is to advanced.

Cor,

Thanks for the information. I've looked briefly at the code, but I'll have
spend some time with it to try to get an understanding of just what it is all
about.

I really appreciate all of your assistance and patience with a begenner like
me. I'm sure that I'll be back with more questions.
