Refreshing Windows after CD/DVD Burn

I have some shareware CD/DVD burning software that has a command line
interface, perfect for writing you own CD/DVD custom burning software.
I have an app that burns a few DVDs. Recently I have had some problems
with good burns. Occasionally a recently burned DVD is unreadable. At
least one file will get a CRC error when trying to read it. So I wrote
a simple verification program that makes sure all files on a CD/DVD
are readable. Now, I would like to call this verification app after a
burn completes. Problem is, Windows still thinks the disk is blank
until you eject it an re-insert it. I have tried ejecting the tray in
code, waiting for the user to re-load the tray, and then fire up the
verification app. It STILL thinks it is a blank disk!!! How do I force
Windows to read the MFD to realize there are files there?
