VS 2005 and binding to existing VSS 6 folder tree

We currently have a solution up and working on VS 2005 and bound to
source control VSS 6.

I want to now add our DATABASE folder from VSS to our existing
solution.

My first approach has been to create a new Database Project and to get
it working.

In our tree in VSS the folder structure is similar to the following:
....\DATABASE
....\DATABASE\StoredProcs
....\DATABASE\Views
....\DATABASE\UDF
.... and so on

I did create a folder on my local drive called: d:\database\storedprocs
(and so on) - and got recursive out of VSS to these folders, then
created new Folders with matching names in the Solution Explorer and
dragged the files from my local drive onto these folders. That part
works ok.

Now I need to bind these folders to VSS - so I went to FILE/SOURCE
CONTROL/CHANGE SOURCE CONTROL and tried pointing to my tree in VSS
....\DATABASE and it reports it's invalid.

I have tried many things but just can't get my Project to correctly use
the existing file folder paths in VSS. At some point it sorta worked
but created sub-folders in VSS such as ...\DATABASE\StoredProces\my
solution name\StoredProcs and the files were there - but that's not
what I want.

Can someone direct me on how to correctly do this?
