Calendar events in Web Application

Hello,
I am using the standard calendar with a web page. When I open the page, I
set the selecteddate = Now.. and then the selecteddate formatting would
work.. ie Blue foreground.
I added a button to the web page, (standard form button) and on the click
event set the calendar1.selecteddate = now(). After I added this button the
on form selected formatting does not occur and when I do select the button..
it changes the date, but the formatting does not occur.... below is what I
have on my click event for the button..
Protected Sub btnShowToday_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As
System.EventArgs) Handles btnShowToday.Click
With Me.Calendar1
.SelectedDate = Now()
With .SelectedDayStyle
.BackColor = Drawing.Color.Blue
.ForeColor = Drawing.Color.Yellow
.Font.Bold = True
End With
.Focus()
End With
End Sub
