with VBA you can call COM components so if you create your .Net dll`with COM
interop it is no problem ata all
directly referencing the .Net dll without COM is not possible ( afaik )

Thanks for your answer. I have no experience with COM whatsoever. I
guess Ill keep using VB5 until I have time to sit and learn a bit more
about the the new versions.

Hi Michel,

I am facing the same problem, whereby import Excel.dll to enable a connection to Excel properties. When I tried to declare the following statement in my VB Express 2005, it doesn't seem to recognize with error message as undefined.

"Dim Excel As New Excel.Application "

Thanks a lot.

Regards,
CK
