How can I tell if a page has been printed and printer status.

How can I tell if a page has been printed. There is a EndPrint event that is
generated by the PrintDocument class when the data has been sent to the
printer but i need to know how to tell when the print queue is empty, i.e.
when the page has actually been printed or at least started to print.

Seems like there should be some sort of way to link to a "Selected Printer"
object and then be able to read status such as queue empty, or even printer
off line, out of paper, etc.

Hamil.
