How to pass a bitmap from a C++ dll to VB.NET

C++ dll function:

//what "type" is the function?
PERLINDLL_API ??? GeneratePerlinTexture(int w, int h)
{
...stuff
int *bmp = (int*)ARGB32_pixels;
return bmp; // I am guessing here???
}
VB.NET application:

Declare Function GeneratePerlinTexture Lib "C:\Perlindll.dll" Alias
"GeneratePerlinTexture" (ByVal x As Integer, ByVal y As Integer) As Bitmap
'Is this right?

....later

Dim bit_bak as Bitmap(8,8)
bit_bak = GeneratePerlinTexture(bit_bak.Width, bit_bak.Height)

Thank you!
