Is Visual Studio 2005 Stable

I am A major VB6 coder and have never done any .NET stuff. I am about to make
the leap and think i will start with VB 2005 that comes in the VS 2005 Beta.
Have people found it stable enough to write apps in and stable enough that I
can code in it and not run into a lot of issues? I want to write window form
apps and web apps.

George,

It is called by Microsoft very unstable. I thought that there will be in
May/June a new Beta2 version.
(Although as well not a production version)

I hope this helps

From my experience, it's very unstable, especially the CTP bits, and thus is
not suitable for production use. The next beta version (Beta 2) will be
released in March (according to what Bill Gates said at the "Office System
Developer Conference" (<URL:http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/56082/>).

If on the other hand you just want to spend some time getting up to speed
with VB.NET, then take a look at downloading VB.NET Express. It's "quite"
stable (but is still a beta), is a smaller install and will give you all you
need to learn the language and the framework.

Hope that helps
