Controlling TypeDescriptor

This is a control design time issue. I'm developing a control where in
design time, I would like to control the Typedescriptor dynamically -
i.e add or remove property descriptors based on the situation. The
control has it's own designer, inheriting from ParentControlDesigner.
How can I utilize the PostFilterProperties and PreFilterProperties
for this purpose? Are there any code examples somewhere?
