another McAffee problem?

guy
Has anyone else experienced this?
VB.NET solution under sourcesafe control, all code on a network share.
all works fine until McAffee installed, and then two intermittent problems
occur

1/ when saving source files get an 'Access denied' message, and the save as
dialog
which allows me to force the save.

2/ the last few characters or a source file are overwitten with binary
zeros, normally about 3 or 5 but on a couple of occaisions over 60!

remove McAfee and both the problems go away
