Unicode BOM Mark - Big vs Little Endian

At the following site below, microsoft lists the Byte Order Marks as follows:
Big Endian - FFFE
Little Endian - FEF
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...icode_42jv.asp

However, in the vb.Net help, it lists them as reverse and using the Encoding
class and the .GetPreamble method, it also gives FEFF for Big Endian and FFFE
for little endian. Is this an error on Microsoft's part at the above website
or am I missing something?

FFFE is little endian.

Thanks. That's what I gathered from trying different encoding then reading
the resulting bytes. I guess M'soft got it wrong at the web site.

I guess that too.

BTW: It's "BOM", not "BOM mark" ;-).
