jpeg print size

Hi group,

I've got a,in my opnion, difficult problem. I've made a form on which
the user can select a logo which he wants to print on a crystal
reports report. The logo is saved as a BLOB field in a SQL Server
database. All this ain't a problem, but the problem is checking the
size of logo because on the report the logo size is limited to 9cm
(width) and 5cm(height). First I figured out that if I checked the
size of the image (picturebox.image.width, picturbebox.image.height) I
would be OK but by checking this I only get the size of the image in
pixels and I can't use this information because a picture has a
pixelsize and a printsize. For example I've got 2 logo's (they're the
same except for the resolution).

The first logo is
Pixelsize
width: 170 pixels
height: 54 pixels
Printsize
width: 6cm
height:1,91cm
resolution: 72 pixels/inch

The second logo is
Pixelsize
width: 709 pixels
height: 226 pixels
Printsize
width: 6cm
height:1,91cm
resolution: 300 pixels/inch

So in this case if I check the size of the images, the first one would
be smaller then the second one and this is true, but they do print at
the same size. So my question is can I figure out the printsize om an
image. Because if I base myself on the pixelsize there's no logic in
that.
Some help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thnx in advance
