The type initializer for "System.Threadi ng.Thread" threw an exception.

I'm having a strange problem, I have a small executable that runs a
backup for a some data nightly, and as of September 22, 2007 it has
ceased to function with the following error:

Unhandled Exception: System.TypeInit ializationExcep tion: The type
initializer for "System.Threadi ng.Thread" threw an exception. --->
System.Argument OutOfRangeExcep tion: Load factor needs to be between
0.1 and 1.
Parameter name: loadFactor
at System.Collecti ons.Hashtable.. ctor(Int32 capacity, Single
loadFactor, IHashCodeProvid er hcp, IComparer comparer)
at System.LocalDat aStoreMgr..ctor ()
at System.Threadin g.Thread..cctor ()
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Source code is as follows:

Option Strict On
Imports System
Imports System.Diagnost ics
Imports System.IO

Namespace MWareBackup
Public Module StartupModule
Public Sub Main()
Dim DisplayDate as String = Date.Now.ToStri ng("MM-dd-yyyy")
Dim BackupFilename as String = "<folder name I can't provide>" &
DisplayDate & ".cab"
Console.WriteLi ne("Backup Utility Running For " & DisplayDate &
".")
Console.WriteLi ne("Backup Filename = " & BackupFileName & ".")
Process.Start(" C:\PACL\PACOMP. EXE", "-a -r -p -c2 -e2 -w -lC:
\Backup.log " & BackupFilename & " <Other folder name I can't provide>
\*.*")
End Sub
End Module
End Namespace

Of all places, the exception is thrown in the line "Dim DisplayDate as
String = Date.Now.ToStri ng("MM-dd-yyyy")"

This can be reproduced in a simple test: Create a blank webform and add this html inside the <formsection: <div id="myDiv" runat=server> <asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server"></asp:TextBox> </div> In the code behind, add this code in the page_load event handler:

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
