Hi All
I need to change the rowspan, columnspan properties of a control when they
are within a TableLayoutPane l (VB.net 2005)
At runtime the property is not available, but is at design time
Any ideas

Have you tried the SetColumnSpan method of the TableLayoutPane l?
Hi Steve,
Thank you for posting.
Yes, the RowSpan and ColumnSpan properties of a control are only available
at design time. To change the rowspan and columnspan of a control in a
TableLayoutPane l control at run time, you should use the SetRowSpan() and
SetColumnSpan() methods of the TableLayoutPane l class.
For example, there's a textbox in a TableLayoutPane l control. To set the
rowspan to 2 and columnspan to 2 of the textbox at run time, you should use
the following statements.
TableLayoutPane l1.SetRowSpan(T extBox1, 2)
TableLayoutPane l1.SetColumnSpa n(TextBox1, 2)
Hope this is helpful for you.
If you have any other concerns or need anything else, please don't hesitate
to let me know.
Sincerely,
Linda Liu

Hello,
I am trying to reposition a calendar control at runtime i.e next to the
approriate button which was clicked.
Without the code below, the control appears in the same position but on top
of all other controls.
With the code, the calendar control is repositioned but it then appears
underneath all other controls.

Hello all. I am trying to implement my first server control and have
run into two problems that I cannot solve. I need the assistance of
someone with more experience.
My goal was to create an input button that would allow for both text
and an image on it. I am attempting to accomplish this by basing off
of the asp:button control. I added a property for the image url and
one to determine if the image is displayed on the left or right...

I have a Button Created in .NET Windows Form.
In a AsyncCallBack Procedure, I need to change the enabled property of the button to false. I tried using Reflection.PropertyInfo.
The Code goes like this
Dim pi As System.Reflection.PropertyInfo = btnLogin.GetType.GetProperty("Enabled")
pi.SetValue(btnLogin, False, Nothing)

I have a Button control whose text property is "Move To Archives". Because
this makes a relatively wide Button when the text is all one line, I want to
put a line break between the words "Move To" and "Archives". However, if I
specify the Text property as "Move To<br/>Archives" the "<br/>" simply shows
up on the Button. Is there any simple way to make a Button control's Text
property multi-line? (NOTE: I am writing my code using VB.NET and...

Hi
I've created a control that inherits from the button control. The control
has one additional property called ButtonType which can be set to Ok,
Cancel, New, Edit, etc. When the ButtonType property changes, the Image,
Text, TextAlignment, etc. properties are changed for the control.
What happens is that when I put the control on a form and I set the
ButtonType property, all the fields that are changed are then highlighted as...

There is a C# CTI app I'm working on using Visual Studio 2005 at
revision level 8.0.50727-7600. I need a couple of Windows Form Button
controls to emulate line buttons on a telephone. So I went to create a
class file for the user control to subclass this out. Something basic
for a start, just initializing things. When I drag this custom control
from the Toolbox to my form then Visual Studio just abruptly exits
without warning.
So I...

I created an enhanced Button Control in ASP NET 2.0 to add a delete
confirmation message and to disable the button if the user does not have
access.
The new button control has a "ConfirmMessage" property where you can set the
message you want displayed and a "SecurityKey" property to set the security
key for the button.
The securitykey works fine. The button is disabled if the user should not
have access to it.
The problem I have is...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
