The problem started when the Working Folder for a project was somehow set to
the folder of another project. I set the correct working folder in VSS and
deleted the .vbproj files that had been created in the wrong folder on the
hard drive. Before I discovered these files, .NET kept trying to create a
new project with _1 following the project name. Deleting those files
corrected that problem.

It sounds to me like ASP, not ASP.NET is handling the
request for WebForm1.aspx. This is most likely an IIS
config issue that may have been caused by order of
installation or reinstallation, or possibly even
something that happened in IIS before .NET was
installed.

too, for web pages not associated with my new application.

There is one more problem I am facing but didn't get the solution. In my
Setup Program I am not been able to create 2 things (when the program is
intalled on the client machine ) : (1) create shortcut to my program/utility
(2) Entry in Windows' Start --> Program Menu.
Actually in my VB.Net solution I have two projects (1) MYPROGRAM (2)
MYPROGRAM_INSTALLER. MYPROGRAM is a "Windows Application".

I have a ASP.net Project, and need to create a .cab file which will
contain the Web project's content file(.aspx files,image files,ascx
files and so on) .
I create a setup project which is the cab file. and add the primary
output of web content file.
There're several directories in my web project,but i found that the
files in the cab file have no such directory information,so i cannot
extract them into the correct path.

Hi All,
I've got a VB.NET 2005 solution composed of 3 projects a Client, a
DLL, and a Windows Service. I'd like to create an install package that
would install the whole solution (i.e. its 3 project) in one go. How
could I do that?
PS: I don't particularly want the Windows Service to self-register.
I'm fine with the user having to run installutil.exe to register the
service.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
