Inheritance and Datagridview/BindingNavigato r

Good day all,

On my base form I have amongst others, a BindingNavigato r/Datagridview
control. I have changed the modifier properties for all the controls to
"Protected Friend",
but for the BindingNavigato r/Datagridview I cannot change any properties in
the new inherited form. All other controls are fine. Has anybody got any
suggestions?

How can I filter/search records in DataGridView after filling it with data? The BindingNavigator provides default functionality for navigating, adding, deleting and saving records. Is there anything available for filtering/searching records? Is there any Filter Bar available in DataGridView control similar Component One True DBGrid control? Thanks

I have a DataGridView bound to a DataTable which is keyed on an Identity. Now I want users to be able to fill in the table just by enetering data and tab between fields and across row boundaries. What I am having trouble with is deciding when to update the table and I keep on getting exceptions (like DbNull). Do you have to do an update at the end of each row ?

Hello, I 've a Windows Form and a "DataGridView" with the "DataSource" binding with a "BindingSource" and a "BindingNavigator", in the other hand in the same Form, there's multiples textbox's binding with the same "BindingSource". Well, only I want to know if there's any automatic way to change the values of all selected rows in a datagridview, when I change the TextBox's text. Thank you.

I have generated an XmlDocument, then bound it to a DataGridView (thanks to a pointer from PeterBromberg in a separate, recent posting). Now I want to connect a BindingNavigator, but my rudimentary attempt failed. In the Visual Designer I added a BindingSource bs, then a BindingNavigator bn, and assigned bs to the BindingSource property of bn. In code, I generate my XmlDocument, massage it to fit into a DataSet, then assign it to the...

This seems to be something so simple that none of the hundred-odd tutorials and forum threads that I have looked at (:-)) apparently thinks it's a problem. In a nutshell, I have two DataGridViews. Each has a BindingSource (and a BindingNavigator). The first view populates successfully based upon a Linq to SQL query in the Form Load (that is, the query is assigned to the DataSource of that view's BindingSource, and the BindingSource is...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
