Performing desktop queries vs. server based

1 New Member
Can anyone tell me what the load impact on the network when running desktop queries vs. server based queries. I am not sure this is the exact question i want to ask or if i asked it in the right way. Its as close as I can come to asking my question.

If you're asking about whether queries should be handled in front-end or back-end, the answer is "it depends". Formatting, simple checks are better in front-end. Aggregation and heavy lifting are always better in the back-end.

Good Luck!!!
