Strange happenings with SA account

Greetings,

My SQL 2000 Server has been acting strange lately. Someone has gone
into the server and changed the SA password. When I go to change the
password back to sa, i then verify it and it seems OK. When I go to
look at the properties again, the same unknown password pops in place.
This has prevented me from accessing my database. Any one have any
thoughts on the matter??
Thanks

Yes. Sounds like either you either have another admin reporting the same
problem as you :-) or your machine has been hacked.
Thanks

It's not clear exactly what your problem is - are you saying that
someone else has changed the sa password, and now you are unable to
use the sa account? If so, how did you reset the password the first
time? In any event, if you can connect to SQL Server with a local
administrator account (ie a Windows administrator), then you should be
able to set the sa password, at least in a default configuration.

If this doesn't help, then perhaps you could clarify exactly what your
problem is. It would also be useful to know which security mode the
server is in (Windows or Mixed), and how you are connecting to it
(Windows account or MSSQL account).
