how to check sql port

i have installed sql server 2000 and set default port 1433. but i ca'nt access from outside ..i have given access to sql server machine from outside ip . but i guess something is wrong the port configuration, cause when i check it through netstat (with all parameters) but is not listening on port 1433.

The only way I know is:

Go to ODBC in Control Panel\Administrative Tools

Try to Add new, Select SQL Server, hit Finish.
Enter any name and your server name and hit Next.
Go to Client Configuration and make sure "Dynamically determine port" is checked. You should see Port number right away.
At this point just Cancel everything.


By the way my server uses 1433 port too. I think it is a default port but could be overwritten.
