Problems upgrading to 2005 Trial from 2000 Standard Edition

I'm having problems upgrading to 2005 Trial from 2000 Standard Edition.

Despite the ms docs saying this was a valid upgrade path and running
the upgrade advisor which did not highlight a non-valid upgrade path, I
am getting the following error :-

Name: Microsoft SQL Server 2000
Reason: Your upgrade is blocked. ......

Edition check:
Your upgrade is blocked because of edition upgrade rules. ......

Any ideas?

Richard.

Hi

I have not seen anything that says you can update to the trial versions. It
may be possible to install a separate instance or onto a new machine.
