Transactional Replication

If I set up a distribution agent to run continuously for a subscriber
that is intermittently connected, will all the replication transactions
be queued to execute automatically when the subscriber connects? Or is
there some other property that must be set?

This is my first experience with replication and the scenario is a
central database that replicates to msde (or is it now SQL Express?)
databases on laptops. Only certain portions of the central database
will be replicated to the laptops, presumably using filters described
for each laptop's publication article.

Thanks in advance, Ken Grover
