Do you have Robin Dunn's book, wxPython in Action? There is useful code that comes with it.

Mr. Dunn gives a great deal to the community by making his port of wxWidgets available for free. However, he gets paid for all his hard work by the sales of his book. I am reluctant to take revenue away from such a hard working guy by providing such material. Sorry. There are some sample chapters and you can order a PDF version of the book here. It's only $25 US. I hope that helps.
