how retrive table values from two oracle databases

oracle-9i
os-unix server

I have two oracle databases in same server like test1,test2 respectively.

I would like to retrive some table datas from test1 to test2.

how to access values from one database to another.

Create a database link from database test1 to database test2 using this query:

-- In database test1:
 
CREATE DATABASE LINK testing CONNECT TO <user_name> IDENTIFIED BY <password> USING '<Host String>'
 
 

Then access table from database test2 from test1 using this query:

 
SELECT * FROM table_name@testing;
