Flex Grid in Asp.Net - .NET Framework

Hi,

I am looking for a grid that supports the following requirements:

Firstly, I need to bind a datatable (which I fetch from a database) to the grid. I then need to be able to add columns (incidentally, a large number, roughly 500-600) to the grid, and highlight a range of columns for given row(s).

I was using another third party grid which was taking care of my requirements, but it is incredibly slow performance-wise. The grid takes at least 10 minutes to load after our operations are complete.

I wish to try out VS Flex Grid, at this juncture. Can anyone tell me if it would satisfy all my requirements?

Incidentally, I have used VSFlexGrid for an ASP application and it has worked out fine. I am just checking if it's supported for ASP.NET versions 2.0 and above.

If VS FlexGrid does not support my requirements, what are my other options?

GridView is the asp.net object for this.
"flexgrid" and other vb6 aren't really "supported" in any .NET version, .NET supports importing COM objects, which is how outdated controls sneak their way in.
You are not doing yourself any favors by looking to the past for objects when their are new ones waiting for you.
