XML 2003 Exposition Draws Leading XML Vendors

Trade Show, Presentations Allow Companies to Showcase Cutting-edge Solutions

Alexandria, Va. - Dec. 1, 2003 - XML 2003, the world's largest XML conference
and exposition, will feature a trade show floor filled with key XML vendors
including Adobe Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADBE), ArborText, BEA Systems, Inc.
(NASDAQ: BEAS), Document Management Solutions, Inc. (DMSI), Microsoft (NASDAQ:
MSFT), Retrieval Systems Corporation (RSC), Software AG, Thomas Technology
Solutions, Inc., and many others.

XML Conference and Exposition 2003 is slated for Dec. 7-12, at the Pennsylvania
Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pa. The XML 2003 exposition floor will be
open Dec. 9-11. The annual event is sponsored by IDEAlliance, a leading trade
association dedicated to fostering XML and other information technology
standards.

Many participating companies will also deliver technical presentations
throughout the event's conference program. Exhibiting vendor and XML 2003
co-sponsor Adobe Systems, Inc., (booth 202) will deliver two presentations:
"Building XML Forms with PDF," Tues., Dec. 9, 2:45 p.m.; and "XML and PDF in
Publishing Workflows," Wed., Dec. 10, 4:45 p.m.

"The XML standard is critical to Adobe's technology strategy and to the future
of computing. Adobe is a committed partner to XML 2003, the premier conference
for sharing new technologies with a community of key influencers and newcomers
to XML," says Charles R. Myers, technology strategist, Adobe.

Another exhibiting vendor and XML 2003 co-sponsor, Thomas Technology Solutions,
Inc., (booth 303) will give a presentation titled "ROI Reality: How Publishers
are Realizing True Return on their XML Investment" on Tues., Dec. 9 at 11:45
a.m.

"XML deployment is delivering proven, real-dollar results in the publishing
world," says Lynda Brooks, vice president, Sales & Marketing, Thomas Technology
Solutions, Inc. "Forward-looking publishers owe it to themselves to attend XML
2003 and learn about the dynamic solutions ThomasTech offers."

DMSi (booth 308) will give two presentations Wed., Dec. 10: "WordML for
Typesetters, Compositors, and Stylesheet Designers" at 11 a.m., and "X2XL -
OASIS Tables Meet Excel Spreadsheets" at 11:45 a.m.

"XML 2003 is the most important event in our industry," says Mary P. McRae,
senior vice president and principal XML technologist with DMSi. "This year's
trade show and program gives us an important opportunity to showcase our
expertise in XML-based content management solutions."

RSC (booth 406) is giving two presentations during the conference: Using Fuzzy
Logic to Create Links: Resolving References to Cited Court Cases, Thur., Dec.
11, 4 p.m.; and Re-Engineering Content Management Systems, Fri., Dec. 12, 9:45
a.m.

"In the XML world, this event is the place to be," says RSC Vice President of
Business Development Lisa Richards. "We're excited to be here, and to
demonstrate how RSC's XML solutions bridge the gap between our customers'
content delivery needs and IT capabilities."

Returning to the Expo floor this year is the popular Incubator Area, which
showcases pre-released commercial tools, free tools, and shareware tools.
Attendees can try out future products and free tools and give feedback to
developers. Vendors include: Blast Radius, Browsercraft, CambridgeDocs, Fatdog
Software Inc., Media Entities Inc., Ponton Consulting, and Snapbridge Software,
Inc.
