Web service help?

2 New Member
Hi I´m trying to impliment a webservice in asp where I receive an string and post that string to the back of an url "http:www.somesite.com/?user=&pass=&number=<string goes here>".

There is a form that sends a number string to the web service and the web service sends it to a webstite which is authenticated via username and password.

does any of you have a general idea how to impliment this.

I'm confused as to which part you are doing, and which part you need help on.

Is your question how to append a number to a URL? Or what?

I'm not sure what exactly you are having problems with....
If it's web services, check out this article on WCF Programming.

Sorry yes I´m doing the web service.

To break it down: there is a website that sends a number to the web service. what I have to do is receive the number, and pass it to a 3rd party website, which is just a url post with a username and password.

There is no problem in appending the number to the url but rather how I post the url+number

Well, you can use HttpWebRequest to send the request.
