I am really sorry for this.
But, I thought I should create seperate threads for registry issue and system files issue.

Anyway, I don't think that this is possible. The user permissions are set up to guard against exactly this. Why do you need a non-admin user to be able to modify the registry anyway?

I am writting an aaplication for an institute. And the client doesn't want to give admin rights to peer computers. Now, as I am accessing registry and system files through application, it is not running well.
That's why I am looking for solution.

Perhaps the design of the application needs to be revisited. You probably need to enable multiple user levels in your application. Operations that need admin priviledges would then be run as administrator user. You probably need to implement authorization levels e.t.c to keep the security model intact.

I am writting desktop application in vb.net 1.1fx.
Can you please assist me, how to set authorization levels?
I don't want to let user run the application by explicitly selecting "run as administrator" option.

A simple implementation is to just include an authorization stage(Form) in the processing where a user has to enter an administrator password before the process can complete.
