sending email with vb.net

I'm trying to do email blast where some of the cc email fields are null.

It is a windows application using vb.net.

The error says "Data is Null. This method or property cannot be called on Null values."

dim ccid as string = rdr.getstring(1) has the cc email address

Mail.CC.Add(ccid)

Please repond at the earliest
