IMessageFilter vs KeyPreview

21 New Member
I want to have a form that accepts keypresses. The controls other than the form should not receive any of the user input. I have implemented it using IMessageFilter but now just now I discovered about KeyPreview.

What is the difference between IMessageFilter and KeyPreview? Is there a significant benefit using one way than the other?

Thanks but I already checked Google and I can't find the answer. The second result from link you gave me mentioned something about compact framework but it is nto really clear about what they are talking about.

So I am still wondering if there is any difference between IMessageFilter and KeyPreview?
