i have to write a utility in c++ for windows 2k/XP.
But i have 2 difficult problems.
I asked many programmers i know, but none of them was able to tell me

one).
I have a USB Cardreader with an integrated 7-port USB-Hub.

Is there a way to set a custom property on Access tables and/or queries to
prevent them from being overwritten by import wizards? Any Access database
can be easily destroyed if a user mistakenly imports an object (or Excel
spreadsheet) with the same name as an existing table or query.
Import wizard: "Overwrite existing table/query?"

I have to create a application which will install a printer.
I have list of printers, and the machine where the printer is connected.
Just to hide the info about the network I want to give him a exe which he
can install and that will install a printer for him. Basically the user
should not use "Add Hardware Wizard"

I have filled a datagrid with data from a dataset. The dataset was filled
with a dataadapter - and I used the wizard to create insert, update, delete
commands.
I would like to prevent the user from adding a new record in the datagrid,
but still be able to change/delete data - is this possible??

I am interested in how to determine if a particular type of hardware has been
plugged into Windows XP/2000 programmatically. It could be a service or
application running that could detect the new hardware the way XP and 2000
currently do when new hardware
is found. I am particularly interested in determining if a flash drive was
connected to...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
