Web Service proxy - where have my Custom Attributes got to?

Apologies if foolish question, but I somewhat expected Custom Attributes (i.e.
inheriting from System.Attribute) decorating class properties to come through
via WSDL to the proxy the same as built in Attributes (e.g., Xml .Serialization
attributes).

Have typically always accessed custom attributes in referenced assemblies
rather than via WS so perhaps I imagined it...No attributes come through in
generated proxy for WS so obviously not so simple, can anyone tell me if this
is possible and if so what else is required to get custom attributes into the
generated proxy code?

For anyone who might have this issue, the answer is that Custom Attributes do not come through via MS automatic generation of the WSDL or indeed the proxy generation process. However if you are keen (which I was) and happen to have a code generator that works with XSD already (which I did) then you can bypass the MS approach by using ServiceContractGenerator and modifying the CodeNamespace by calling your own generation tool for the Data Contract.
