Response.Redirect("filename.aspx#InsideAnchor") looses the anchor

Sometimes the result of this statment is to redirect me to filename.aspx
without the anchore
How Can I Get to this InsideAnchor?

Does the URL itself lose the anchor in your client browser window?

I have noticed that on pages that take more then an instant to load, the anchor seems to be ignored. But once the page is loaded, any further anchors work fine.
