Problem linking library

I am trying to port an existing app with libraries to VC.net. For some
reason one of the libraries does not appear to be included in the link. I
get unresolved references to functions in that library. I am not getting any
errors or warnings when building the library. I have checked the check box
for the library in the Dependencies dialog on the main project. I have other
libraries in the same 'Solution' that link in normally. The libary is setup
for 'static' build as is all other libraries in the project and the project
itself. I have created a test project (solution) in vc.net that includes
the same library and it links ok. Does anyone have an idea of what I might
be doing wrong?
thanks
