If FlowLayoutPanel's AutoScroll is set to true, there appears a scroll bar on the right. Normally, users would expect the contents is scrolled while they are dragging the scroll bar. Well, it does, but not when the Windows's "Show window contents while dragging" is disabled. Almost all the Windows' common coltrols scrolls the contents while...

Hi, I've searched the newsgroup and other sources to understand how to handle runtime controls and see I'm not the only one who's confused, but I'm still not quite sure of the best way to handle from all the various explanations/answers. I'm attempting the typical scenario... I create a variable number of controls at runtime based on...

In ASP.NET, what technology would I use to drag images around the screen? Once the dragging is over, I'd need to fire an event in my codebehind using the x/y of the new placement of the image.

I have a form that has controls on it that can be dragged to other locations within the form. The form size is larger than the viewable area so the scroll bars are visible (and autoscroll is enabled). When I drag a control to the edge of the visible border, I am sending the WM_HSCROLL/WM_VSCROLL message to the parent form to initiate a...

Does anyone have, or can anyone suggest a URL for code to drag a control around a form at run time? VB.Net 2003. I have written stuff in VB6 to do this before, but a long time ago and I don't have the code to refer to anymore. Cheers, Tull.

Greetings all, I'm at a loss for fixing this problem, so I'm hoping someone out there has seen this and has a solution. Basically, I'm working on an app written in VB.NET 2005 which uses a mixture of native and custom controls. The app works fine and everything displays correctly until I drag another window over it. When I do that, there...

If I place objects (i.e. image box controls containing graphics) onto a form at random during runtime, how can I then detect a button_down mouse event when I hover over one of those new controls if I don't have specific object_mousedown routines for those objects in my code? Is there a way of detecting which control a cursor is over and then...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
