how will i get the values

Hi Everybody
i know how to export the data in list boxes to excel sheet but iam not finding the way how to do the same with the datagrid what are the parametters I need to take, but onething iam able to generate an excel sheet in vb6 but how in vb.net there in vb6 it is recordset but i what it is in vb.net if some one wold like to see my vb6 program i will post it but ineed the procedure for this
