Saving Files

When I send a file to the recycle bin there is a message "Are you sure...."
So I get a second chance. If I accidentally close a file in Word or Excel, I
lose the lot without a second chance. Having just lost 5 hours work...... Is
there a way of putting an "Are you sure..." between clicking the "No I don't
wish to save...." and oblivion?

You might try posting this to a microsoft office newsgroup.

He probably posted it from microsoft's site.

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s/default.aspx

If you look, I posted a message to this group about the process. It doesn't
show the whole newsgroup names, it guesses at the type of newsgroup. So
there are several selections for "General Discussion", but it doesn't tell
what topic the general discussion is about. I think that's how people are
posting here; this one is either the first "General Discussion" or close to
the top somewhere.

It's a mess, isn't it? I actually feel sorry for them. They're going to
microsoft.com to try and get some help, and can't even get *that* to work
right.

Yeah...

I have decided i will help em if i know how with a quick blurb but try to
send em in the right direction.

I feel sorry for em as well. Someone not knowledgable in computers trying
to navigate thru the newsgroups trying to find simple help and actaully
trying to solve the problem "On Their Own" which is a huge + in the future.

I'm not sure what blurb is going to help them if they are posting through
the MS site. If you go take a look at it and try to post something, the
dropdown list is hopeless. The best thing would probably be to send them to
google groups. Is that better? (How could it not be?)
