[ERROR]Generic Host Process for Win32 Services

My OS is:
Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

I get the following error every time I boot up.

Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs
to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

In the event log, it has the following attributes.

Type: Error
Source: Application Error
Category: (100)
EventID: 1000

And the following description.

Faulting application svchost.exe, version 5.1.2600.2180, faulting module
msi.dll, version 3.1.4000.2435, fault address 0x00012780.

Any ideas how to get past this?

Thank you!

Yes, here's how you get past this: You post this to a *Windows* *XP*
newsgroup instead of a .Net Programming newsgroup, and someone helps you!
