datagrid hyperlink col / pop up problem

40 New Member
Hi

I have made a datagrid whose first col is a hyperlink colun. I want that on the click of the hyperlink a pop window should open . For that I have written the following code:
If ((e.Item.ItemType = ListItemType.Item) Or (e.Item.ItemType = ListItemType.AlternatingItem)) Then
Dim h As New Label()
h = CType(e.Item.Cells(1).FindControl("id"), Label)
h.Attributes.Add("OnClick", "javascript:;window.open('applicationform.aspx','w indow','width=300,height=300'")
End If

but it is givin an error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".
What's wrong with this code. Pls help

Thanks & Regards,
Ashima

There are a couple of immediate problems that I can see. The first is that you need to use the value (.text) of the cell and not the label. There is a typo javascript: (not ;).

Hope that this helps.
