Windows Explorer Add-In

Hi NG,

I had the Project idea to create a sort of virtual filesystem based on an
sql server.

Now i'm searching possibilities to implement it in windows explorer.

Is there any connector for the windows explorer ?
Alternatively it can be resolved by using a service who emulates a netdrive
to connect from windows explorer.
But the question is how to do that.

Thanks for your help

Greetings

I tried some things and googled a little bit.
I see 2 possibilities to release this. first ist to write an SMB server.
And Second (and thats what I prefer) is to write a virtual harddisk driver.
Does anyone knows any existing project for virtual hdd ?

Thanks for your help

What your looking for is called a Shell Extension and/or Namespace
extension. These provide you the facilities for creating custom context
menus and nodes in the tree.
