Keepalive = false 401 Access Denied

Hi
This is for the experts

I have override the GetWebRequest method and set the keepalive property
to false in order to overcome a certain in .NET web service problem.

My problem now is that when I set keepalive property to false I always
get 401 exception access denied.
It seems that the credentials doesn't pass with the request no matter
what I do.

I've been fighting over this for sometime now without any success

any suggestion will be happily accepted.

Thanks,
Note:
The problem I was trying to solve is an error raised by the web serivce
"The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on
a send."
This error is raised since the web serivce doesn't release the resource
after it finishes and if you call it too many times it eventually
crashes.
So if you have other way to solve this problem instead of setting
keepalive = false it will also be great.

Hi Okaminer,

NTLM (Windows Authentication in IIS) will only work if Keep-Alive is
enabled - it needs to keep the same connection open throughout the
handshake, authentication and request.

"The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on
a send." sounds like a problem you should really chase down.
Unfortunately, the error message along isn't enough to go on so you'll
need to work out exactly where this is happening (in the client? in the
web service? Inside your code or somewhere else etc).
