VSS with .NET studio

We have purchased Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003. We don't have Visual
Studio 6.0 on our side. I was trying to install Visual Source Safe,
unfortunately I was not able to install the same. I would like to know
whether Visual Source Safe and Visio are bundled along with .NET 2003 and if
not is it required to buy separately. If its there please let me know the
steps to install it. Is it Visual Studio .NET Enterprise edition that
includes VSS and Visio? I saw the File > SourceControl > Microsoft Visual
Sourcesafe menu in the .NET IDE, but it was disabled. If VSS comes with the
Enterprise edition, tell me how to integrate it with the professional
edition.

Yes, VSS is also in Professional edition, see
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/ho.../choosing.aspx

VS.NET 2003 comes with VSS 6.0d I believe, however, I think it might work
with other 6.0 versions, too.

To clarify, Visual SourceSafe is not in the box with the Professional
edition of Visual Studio .NET 2003, but it is part of the enterprise
editions. However, you can use it from Visual Studio if you own it
separately and install it in addition. All you need to do is install them
both on the same machine and it should just work.

Visio for Enterprise Architects is only available in the Enterprise
Architect edition of Visual Studio.
