DataTable.select method

I would like to do a select distinct on a fieldname in a
dataset. Is this possible using the DataTable.Select
Method?

If so do you have an example?

I can use the method to do things like this.... very
easily, but can't find a way to select distinct.

Dim dr As DataRow() = ds.Tables(0).Select("fieldname
= 'value' ")

Thanks
