creating an archive application

I'm building a news site in dotnet(c#) and this will include a simple
searchable archive which will also use keywords to cross-reference
related stories.

I was just wondering if anyone new of any resources or examples I
might be able to use for research. They don't have to be dotnet but it
would be great if they were ;)

Also (hopefully quite a simple one) I am torn between saving the
stories as flat files with DB reference or storing all the data in the
DB and using datasets and caching to create the pages. Which is
preferable (I'm currently swinging towards the latter)?

Thanks

Rob
