SecurityException error when running a program from a network share?

Hello - I have created a VB .net program that does a DOS Ping on a netbios
name, creates a text file in the users temp directory, then reads the file
in and gives the users site and subnet. Works like a charm!

However, it can only be run locally, on the users computer - otherwise it
generates a security error -

The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the
security policy. The operation requried the SecurityException. To grant the
application the required permission please contact your system
administrator, or use the Microsoft .NET security policy administration
tool.

I've isolated the problem to the SHELL line - which I have as:
RedirectFile = "test.txt"
RedirectPath = System.IO.Path.GetTempPath

intPID = Shell(Environ$("comspec") & " /c ping " & LCase(Me.NetBiosBox.Text)
_
& " -n 1 > """ & RedirectPath & RedirectFile & """",
AppWinStyle.Hide)

Netbiosbox is where the user enters the NetBIOS name. Any help would be
appreciated - I'm still pretty new to Visual Basic .NET
