Async Programming in asp .Net page as Windows Forms

I followed with a lot of interest some webcasts, especially regarding Async
Programming and Windows Forms" as well as some articles. Is it possible to do
the smae thing in an asp .Net page?
I have a .Net web page that make requests to 3 different web sites to
retrieve information sequentially. I would like to be able to call the 3 web
sites at the same and display results in lables and text boxes concerning
each response as soon as it arrives. So my users can start reading info for
the first web site while the other info are still to come and be displayed as
soon as they arrive. I have .net ramework 1 and 1.1 on my wi2K box
I would appreciate any example or tutorial......
Thanks in advance
