Using MS mouse thumb buttons in the VS.NET IDE

Is it possible to use the thumb buttons (they default to back and
forward) with the VS.NET IDE? I would to map them to "navigate
forward" and "navigate backward." However, I cannot see an easy way
to do this -- Intellipoint 5.0 removed the option to assign
program-specific buttons (and I like the back/forward capability for
help, so I don't really want to do that anyways). Does anyone have
any ideas?

Thanks,
