Hi all.
I am doing a c# (component class) version of a visual c++ program that
used MAPI to get access to the address book. I used functions such as
MAPIInitialize and MapiLogonEx, and IAddrBook::Address.
There doesnt seem to be much info on MSDN about this. In the newsgroups
I have found examples where people are doing:
[DllImport("mapi32.dll")] etc. And having to redefine structures etc.
I have also seen less examples doing it with:
Using MSMAPI;
This seems to use the MAPI activex control. I dont know if this gives me
access to the addressbook however.
Whats the difference between the 2? Is there anywhere I can read more
info myself? MSDN doesnt have much.
Will there ever be a native .NET interface for MAPI? Or is Using Msmapi;
considered part of the .NET framework?
Thanks for any tips
Kurt
